service opportunities

volunteer with us!

Join our network of over 435 volunteers to participate in service opportunities that support our office’s community engagement efforts. Volunteers bilingual in English and Spanish appreciated. Opportunities are also open to students seeking to fulfill community service requirements.

Volunteers are needed at our weekly Community Resource Events to assist our community engagement team as we provide resources, food, and services to 12 communities throughout Metro Atlanta. On-site volunteers support with set-up, food delivery, and distribution to event attendees.

VOLUNTEER
Youth Volunteer Partnerships
Our office holds partnerships with 6 Atlanta Public Schools to host student volunteers at our Community Resource Events. This initiative helps local high school students earn meaningful community service hours, while also engaging with the Mayor’s Office of International and Immigrant Affairs and learning about local government.

The goal of these partnerships is that by involving students in community engagement work, they will be better equipped to serve as ambassadors of care in their own neighborhoods and will take the spirit of community back to their daily lives.

In celebration of Mayor Dickens’ Year of the Youth initiative, we are looking to expand these partnerships! To partner with our office, please contact Christina Chu at chchu@atlantaga.gov.
Corporate Volunteer Partnerships
Our office has hosted several corporate volunteer groups to meaningfully collaborate and engage in our work. In 2023, corporate partners included Georgia Power, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, Truist, and Xero.

To collaborate with our office to host an event or a volunteer group, please contact Christina Chu at chchu@atlantaga.gov.
Volunteer as a translator
Atlanta’s greatest resource has always been its people.

In our effort to ensure meaningful access to information and services, we are looking for Volunteer Translators to assist with interpretation and translation for the communities we serve.

We need individuals who have proficient/native reading and writing ability in the following languages:  Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese (simplified), Arabic, Swahili, Russian, Portuguese, and French.
