2017 Welcoming Month

Our 2017 Welcoming Month was a huge success. Check out this video to see what welcoming month 2017 was all about.   If you are interested in participating in next year’s welcoming activities please email welcomingatlanta@atlantaga.gov

Throughout the months of September and October, Welcoming Atlanta celebrated Atlanta’s rich cultural diversity for the third year in a row. As the second-fastest growing foreign-born population in the United States, Atlanta is home to a diverse community of many immigrant populations. Welcoming Month is dedicated to celebrating the city’s foreign-born population and their contributions to our community while bringing together all Atlantans to ensure an inclusive, diverse and welcoming city.

Featured Welcoming Events for 2017 were:

Don’t Whistle in the House  Art Exhibition – September 11- October 14

World Languages Day – September 29th

Atlanta Soccer Festival – October 7th

Citizenship Ceremony – October 13th
