Volunteer with us!

Join our network of over 435 volunteers to participate in service opportunities that support our office’s community engagement efforts. Volunteers bilingual in English and Spanish appreciated. Opportunities are also open to students seeking to fulfill community service requirements.

Volunteers are needed at our weekly Community Resource Events to assist our community engagement team as we provide resources, food, and services to 12 communities throughout Metro Atlanta. On-site volunteers support with set-up, food delivery, and distribution to event attendees.

Youth Volunteer Partnerships

Our office holds partnerships with 6 Atlanta Public Schools to host student volunteers at our Community Resource Events. This initiative helps local high school students earn meaningful community service hours, while also engaging with the Mayor’s Office of International and Immigrant Affairs and learning about local government.

The goal of these partnerships is that by involving students in community engagement work, they will be better equipped to serve as ambassadors of care in their own neighborhoods and will take the spirit of community back to their daily lives.

In celebration of Mayor Dickens’ Year of the Youth initiative, we are looking to expand these partnerships! To partner with our office, please contact Christina Chu at chchu@atlantaga.gov.

Corporate Volunteer Partnerships

Our office has hosted several corporate volunteer groups to meaningfully collaborate and engage in our work. In 2023, corporate partners included Georgia Power, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, Truist, and Xero.

To collaborate with our office to host an event or a volunteer group, please contact Christina Chu at chchu@atlantaga.gov.

International Volunteer Week Initiative 2022

In partnership with Atlanta-based International Consulates, our office celebrated United Nations International Volunteer Day by volunteering with partner organizations helping to serve Metro Atlanta’s residents and communities!

40 volunteers, including representatives of the Consulate Generals of The Bahamas, Belgium, Ireland, México, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom and of the State of Guanajuato, México, participated in International Volunteer Week events. Volunteers participated in events with Team Libertad, the Partnership Against Domestic Violence, Urban Recipe, and our office. Activities included:

  • prepping Team Libertad’s trailer, which will store supplies at Atlanta Airport for asylum seekers,
  • organizing thousands of clothing donations and helping decorate for the holidays at both the Fulton and Gwinnett locations for the Partnership Against Domestic Violence,
  • sorting food items and assembling health & hygiene kits for local families in need with Urban Recipe, and
  • assisting with organizing and distributing food, clothing items, & snack bags at our office’s Community Resource Event.
